Eminant Domain Taking
The Proprietors of the Cedar Meadow Lake Watershed District did, at the Annual Meeting of the District on May 22, 1997, vote to take the Cedar Meadow Lake dam and the land under Cedar Meadow Lake by eminant domain.
The following motion was made, seconded, discussed and voted upon:
I
move that the Cedar Meadow Lake Watershed District vote to authorize
the Management Committee to take those actions necessary to effectuate
the acquisition of the land and water rights located in the Town of
Leicester, County of Worcester, known as Cedar Medow Lake (also known
as Cedar Meadow Pond) and specifically including but not limited to the
dam and inlet and every portion of the dam and inlet, as further shown
on a plan entitled "Plan of Land Taking in Leicester, Mass. prepared
for Cedar Meadow Lake Watershed District", dated February 1997 prepared
by David E. Ross Associates, Inc. for the purpose of reclamation,
preservation and maintenance of Cedar Meadow Lake, by eminant domain
under Chapter 79 of the General Laws in the name and behalf of the
Cedar Meadow Lake Watershed District.
